Final Magazines Cover

This is my final design for the CD magazine advertisement.
I have created using Photoshop. I have used these colours because I have also used these similar colours for my digipak to link them together. On the the CD magazine advertisement I have decided to include the website for the artist of the album belongs to. I havealso included the wesbite on my advert because I have looked at existing CD magazine advertisement have done so too. I have decided to put 'Download on itunes' on my Cd magazine advertisement because on the existing CD advertisements have done the same and I have gone with the convention of doing so. I have used bright colours for my titles because that is what I was aiming to do and because it is the completely the opposite of the music video we have created. The triangle on my CD magazine advertisement is on the advertisement this represents the name of the album which is called 'Prism' this is a code for the album because the name and the picture link together.

Making of the Magazine

These were the first initial ideas for my magazine advertisement using photoshop. I wanted my magazine advert to be colourful.
For my first original plan for the making on my magazine advertisement I had chosen to do a colourful rainbow which would reflect to the colours from Katy Perry's album Prism.
Once I had started messing around with photo shop I decided I didn't like the idea so I decided to change it to a normal plane but sophisticated idea of having a simple background and border but having colour writing on the advert. Below were my first designs of my magazine advertisement I thought that these weren't the best start so I decided to scrap that idea.I had chosen a different photo for my advertisement more than once due to the fact that I wanted it to look sophisticated but effective.

Above are my first initial ideas for my CD advertisement which I decided to scrap because I though they didn't look professional 

After decided to scrap the ones above I then went onto making making a brand new one with a totally different idea but still including colour somewhere.

Firstly I then placed a photo onto the Photoshop after deciding which one I wanted. I place the picture into place leaving a little border around the photo for me to fill in later using the same black border as I used for my digipak. I believe that this idea was a better idea already because it is simple but effective at the same time.

I then went onto place black borders around my digipak to give it a bit of depth and to make it stand out more. Adding the borders it has already made a big impact to the whole CD advertisement with bold borders. The black border also the reflects the black clothing Jodie is wearing on my magazine advertisement, it compromises and makes it better as it stands out more.

I then placed the triangle which is featured on my digipak on my magazine advertisement, I decided to crop the white background that the triangle was based around and place it on the right hand side corner because it was space for it.

The triangle is the logo for the album from my digipak so I have made it much bigger on here showing it's importance to the whole advertisement. I then place the digipak into the middle of the triangle straightening it up to make sure it was straight. Showing the contrast of the black and white album to the slightly colour advertisement.

For the next stage for my digipak I moved onto the lettering where my first initial ideas was just to use a single colour the lettering for Katy Perry, but I changed my mind and decided to do a different colour for each individual letter to connote to the colours on the triangle.

Best ideas for magazine

After I had made my magazine I decided to put some effects on it to give it a better look. I think some of these of effects look really good and convey to the pop genre due to it having the bright colourful theme which is eye catching.

I edited these magazine advertisements using photo shop and converging two pictures together then fading the effects over the top. I think I am going to use the first one to use for my final advertisement for my ancillary task because I think it is successful.

Ideas for CD magazine advertisement

For my CD magazine advertisement I am going to use the same photos I had taken for my Digipak.
For my ideas for my CD magazine advertisement I have decided to look at front of magazines. I have decided to look at BillBoard magazine because they are simple and sophisticated at the same time and that it was I am planning on creating something very similar because it has influenced my ideas more by looking at these.

These magazines are simple because the picture of the artist is placed on the front of the middle of the magazine being them the main focus of the advert.
I am planning on creating this by place picture of Jodie who I have taken photos off to put on the front of my magazine Cd advertisement putting the main focus on her to sell the advertisement.

For my title ideas I have already looked at title in the next post but I have found something which I make my magazine look like for the conventions of advertise.I have decided to look at this magazine due to having a colourful lettering title. The title of the magazine is in colour and that has given me to use a colourful title on my own CD magazine advertisement.

Magazine title ideas.

 I have looked at websites such as dafont.com and fontspace.com to give me ideas of fonts for my CD magazine advertisement. I have looked at range of different fonts and different colour fonts. I have type the word 'Katy Perry' because it will give an idea of what fonts I want on the top of my magazine, I have looked a range of fonts in different colours due to the fact that I want my magazine advertisement to be similar and colourful as my digipak

I have looked at different lettering that I will use for my magazine. I have looked at different coloured ones because of the conventions of the pop genre is cheerful and bright colours are cheerful. I have also decided to do this because I am doing to opposite to my music video because at the end everything is resolved due to the colourful outlook I am planning on creating for my magazine advertisement.

I will plan on using colourful lettering for my magazine advertisement, I will either plan on using one colour for the titles or the lettering of the titles being a different colour for each letter.

Ideas for Cd magazine advertisement

For to give me ideas for my cd advertisement I have looked at magazine front covers because of the poses used on them, I have mainly looked at Katy Perry because that is what our ancillary tasks are based around. I have decided to look at these because of the sophisticated look about them which I am going to achieve for my own Cd advertisement.

I have looked at the magazine Billboard featuring a picture of Katy Perry on the front cover. The simple outlook used for this front cover is effective but ties in with the contrasting bright colours inside the lettering of the Billboard title and the colours of Katy Perry's eye shadow.The pale pink background to the magazine juxtaposes with the pale pink dress or top Katy Perry and also it contrasts with her pink lipstick. Even though I have already taken photos for my magazine advertisement I am going to look at the layout to give me influential ideas for it.

Online Cd Adverts (KP

You can get music in different ways I have researched in music Cd advertisements online. These adverts can appear on the beginning of the YouTube video or it can also pop up during the YouTube video. These cd advertisements can appear on social networking sites such as twitter and Facebook. On twitter these adverts can be promoted by the artists and appear on everyone's twitters even if they don't follow the artist. On Facebook these Cd advertisements will appear on the right hand side of the page. 

The colour of the writing of the adverts juxtaposes with the background and the picture which is featured on the advert.The design of the online adverts are eye catching which would make more people click on the advert more.

All these digital online CD advertisements promoting their new album all use very simple lettering in their advertisement. I am going to use similar simple writing in mine because I it will be to the convergence on Cd advertising  because it makes them quite effective and the CD advertisement looks more sophisticated. I have also noticed that on all the online digital CD advertisement list the whole song titles on the advert but If I was going to do the same I would also use the same simple titles for my own. On all the adverts they also advertise other websites such as iTunes, Play.com, Amazon and HMV this will not only help them out with their album but for the other websites which they have on their advertisements.This cross convergence I will plan on using on my CD magazine advertisement.
If I were to distribute my CD advertisement I would also create one these for more the marketing aspect of advertisement. I would do this because of the high percent of people who use social networking sites and will be more likely to see the advert and they will hopefully click on it if it appeals to them. Another reason if I were to distribute my product it would be for the audience, because lots of younger people use social networking sites and I would be in an advantage due to target audience I would be selling my advert too would be able to see it.
