Existing Cd Magazine Adverts (KP)

I have looked at existing Cd magazine advertisements to give me inspiration for my own Cd magazine advertisement.

I have picked this CD magazine advertisement because of the different colours used on it. You can tell that this is
Madonna because there is a big face of her on the front. What I really like about is the small different faces of Madonna you can see inside the big face of Madonna and also that the advert is very colour coordinated. I feel that the whole magazine advert fits together really well to make a bold statement to advertise her Cd. The lettering used on the advertisement is very sophisticated and simple but still makes a big statement to stand out the buyers view.

I have chosen to look at this magazine CD advertisement for Jessie J's album 'Who You Are'. The colours used on this magazine advertisement are very dull and boring. The backgrounds white and black and the lettering is gold and I think that's why the lettering stands out the most behind the complementary colours. What also stands out is the pattern on Jessie J's lips which is colour coordinated with the lettering.

I have looked at the magazine cd advertisement for Kings of Leon's album 'Only By Night'. I like the way this CD magazine advertisement has been set up using a picture of the faces of the band members combined with a picture of an owl which is representing the name of the album by have an owl on the advertisement. It converging the name of the album title which is 'Only By Night' referring to the owl because owls only come out at night time.

This is a CD magazine advertisement for  Florence and the machine for their album 'Lungs'. This CD magazine advertisement shows a picture of her on the front with seeing her lungs out laying on a bed of flowers and the top that she is wearing looks like muscle tissue. The whole lungs picture fits in with the album title which is called 'Lungs' The plane background gives it an outline making your main focus on the picture of the front of it.
This CD magazine advertisement is Marina & the diamonds promoting her new album 'The Family Jewels'. The whole layout of the advert is connected with the song featured on the advert because on the front of it is a picture of her lying down looking a bit tipsy suggesting the album track in the right hand corner is shampain making relations with alcohol but spelling the word wrong. The album is called 'The family Jewels' which fits in with her name being 'Marina& the Diamond' setting it to a jewel theme. But also think the meaning behind the title of her album is also to do with her family that family is special to her and precious as jewels. The background I feel doesn't have any connection with the album.
This is a CD magazine
advertisement for the Killers album 'Day&Age'. The mosaic effect on the magazine advertisement is really effective because it catches the viewers eye because it is different and stands out the way it has been put together. The colours used are harmonious and colour coordinated thats what makes the advertisement really effective. The white bold and plane lettering used for the 'Killers' name stands out from the mosaic background. The whole CD advertisement is the front of the whole album

What I have noticed by researching and analyzing these CD magazine advertisements that you don't always have to put the CD on the advertisement just the picture of something to do with artist or something to do with album of something totally different as long as it's creative and effective to the buyers eye.
I will use the conventions of CD magazine advertisements after looking existing ones so that I can use the conventions in my own creation.
